The Incidental Tarot - "A posse ad esse" From possibility to actuality

Nine of Roses

This card is traditionally known as the “wish card,” implying that whatever the querent wishes will be granted. I like to call it the “happy-happy wish card.” The Nine of Roses implies abundance, celebration and emotional fulfillment. It is not all sunshine and roses, however. As they say, “be careful what you wish for.” In excess, the flip side of this card can indicate being overwhelmed and unable to extract oneself from the consequences of frivolous desires.

Reversed: Oversaturated with happiness and indulgence; gluttony. Becoming numb to the highs and lows of emotional life; ennui.
